This card's last name comes from the translation of V.F.D. which, doubles as an alternative name for...well, the Latin phrase Vicarius Filii Dei, or the number of the beast when converted to Roman numerals.
Being the Representative of the Most High-what Vicarus Filii Dei refers to- is also referenced in Viefdi's ability to create DARK monsters.
This card, to date, has the highest DEF of all Level 11 monsters, and is tied with "CXyz Skypalace Babylon" for the most DEF of any Level/Rank 11 monster.
